Oil Filter Canister and Steering Casting

Post by Jerry Hudgens » Wed Sep 06, 2017 5:38 am

See the two attached photos below.

The oil filter canister has been sand-blasted and primed with red oxide primer. There is no rust but there is some pitting on the outside. The inside is clean and no rust. The cover is in decent shape and has been sandblasted and treated with iron phosphate.

Asking $5.00 for the canister and cover

The Steering housing has been sandblasted and treated with iron phosphate. The arm has the letter R. All threaded holes in excellent condition. This housing is in first class shape.

Asking $5.00 for the steering housing.

I will accept a personal check or a money order but not PayPal. You pay for shipping.

Thanks

No, these are not for GPW or MB. Not sure what the oil canister goes on but the steering casting is for a Cj2

Jerry,
I will take the steering knuckle housing. Please PM me your mailing address and a total with shipping and I will get funds on the way.
I think the oil filter canister may be for a Ford Flathead V8. I've been meaning to dig one out for comparison, but haven't gotten a round tuitt. BW

Thanks

No rush Jerry, I don't have an immediate need for it, I just thought it might be good to have a spare. BW

Bruce

I went to the Post Office and I can get the steering knuckle in a medium flat rate box.

That is $13.60 for the flat rate box. That is the smallest box I can get it in. That is going to be the cheapest way to ship it. I have tried several times with the Post Office to price standard Parcel Post vs the flat rate boxes and it always comes out cheaper using the flat rate box.

So, total would be $13.60 Plus $5.00 which equals $18.60.

I sent you a private message with the details.

Let me know

Thanks

Jerry
