HEATER CJ-2A??

Post by Brad Gates » Thu Feb 22, 2018 8:34 am

Guys,

Removed this from a 1946 CJ-2A. After looking at it closely and comparing to the factory accessory book it "appears" to be an OE heater assembly. The type mounted on the Drivers side under the dash. And checking the holes thru the fire wall they also appear to be in the factory stamped positions. Any one recognize it?? THANKS

Looks right to me. As in so many other things, there is an "early" and a "late" version. The early one mounted flat, even with the bottom of the dash, and the later one was angled to allow more foot room. When they made the change, I don't know. Yours appears to be the late version. BW

Bruce,
And others who responded....THANKS, it's definitely an "angle" mount. Will clean it up, pressure check for leaks and re-assemble. Fan motor does work on 6 volt.
