Help with driveline
Hi, could anyone tell me the difference of these two drive shafts? The one with the yoke out of phase vibrates and I'm not sure how to take the ring off to move it.?.?

Re: Help with driveline
Two methods of attachment.
The Cap neither screws on or has crimped tabs attaching it ti the slip yoke. A screwdriver will unbend the tabs, and a ball peen hammer will bend them back.

Thank you! Any idea on the versions? The one out of phase was on my 51 cj3a ( not sure if it is original) and the other I got on eBay.

Re: Help with driveline
I am sure some one will correct me if I am wrong but I think the top, smaller diameter shaft is earlier and the bottom, larger diameter shaft is later.
The top, smaller one is definitely 90 degrees out.
The caps either screw on ( right hand thread ) or press on. Drive the cap off and on.
