What gauge steel MBT
Hi Everyone:
My MBT had a PE95 generator in it. Various holes were made in the floor and side for the mounting bolts, engine oil drain and exhaust pipe and I need to patch these. What gauge sheet metal do I need to get to accomplish this. Thanks.

For some reason 14 sounds familiar to me.

You can look on Page 22, TM10-1230 and find the gauge sheet metal.
Can you say "18 Gauge"?
FYI, M-100 is the same.

You are killing me Bill!
.047" is roughly 18 gauge... see!
As a side note see the top... it was mistyped for the MB and has a handwritten change to "1/4 ton Trailer", very professional!

If you have to change the thin tubing ("top rail" around the top edge and shown on Mark's list}), the original diameter and gauge is available from local steel suppliers and is not very expensive. I do not have the data handy.

Hey Adam Not sure if this will help you
I have some large pieces of solid original floor if you still need to do the patches in your floor. The biggest problem is that they are here in England. But maybe if your coming over (did I meet you at the Victory show 2 years ago)? again you could take them back with you
regards Nick

Re: What gauge steel MBT
Hi Nick, yes I did meet you at the Victory Show last year. Despite the weather, had a great time. I think I am going to be OK with the floor patches as they are all in flat areas so should be pretty easy to repair. But I appreciate the offer. Heading over to the UK in September this year, don't know if any events are going to on but would be nice to meet up if possible. Finally had some time to work on the trailer this last week, welded up a dolly and got the tub mounted. Work keeps getting in the way so will be a while before I can do anymore, but moving in the right direction!nick peters wrote: ↑Thu Mar 22, 2018 11:13 amHey Adam Not sure if this will help you

Re: What gauge steel MBT
Hello Adam
Glad to hear your floor is an easy fix Looks like your going to have yourself a nice trailer. Who manufactured it? Also does it have its original data plate? I thought it was you I think I remember you saying you were fairly local to the Victory show. So If that's correct? In September there's a few events around ' Operation Bosworth ' September 15 and then Newstead Abbey September 22-23 I'll be at both of those shows.
regards Nick

Hi Nick, my mum lives in Northamptonshire so Market Bosworth is pretty close. Here's the data plate, DOD 8-42.
