Thanks Chuck!

Got it, I will skip the rubber cable in that case for sure. I will just be patient and keep an eye out for a cable on ebay or here on the forum. I am not in a huge hurry since I wont be taking the trailer out until the late spring anyway! If I do needed to hook it up sooner I could just run some wires in the short term and make it correct when the right wiring pops up. If you or any other G members come across the correct cable, please steer them in my direction!

Thanks again for all of you help and time in replying!

Hey Chuck,

I found this cannon cable on ebay as you recommended (link below). Did this type of cannon cable come in asphalt loom cover type as well or just rubber? This one I found has the rubber cover, but what looks to be only 3 wires instead of 4 like Brett Mullins sells which we know is incorrect and too fat. I know you said the 4 wire type would be way too fat, but do you think that this cable would be of good size for my MBT if I used it as is and slid asphalt loom over it to make it look correct? Cant go wrong for $35 shipped if you think it will work and look "correct". Thanks!

Pass on that one...post-WWII....keep looking and you will find a cloth-covered "cannon cable" on ebay sooner or later. You might get enough for TWO of the 81" lengths you need and can possibly even TRADE that extra one for a trailer plug or recoup half your costs on the whole cable.

If you find one that is cloth covered for $35 or there abouts....jump on it!

Chris,Chuck is right, the correct cable will come up...that same Arty rig does comes up for sale/auction in the correct ww2 configuration...if it is full length (about 12 ft.) enough for 2 jeep/trailer sets...
