Cool, there is nothing like NOS surplus parts packaged in an original crate!
I picked up a NOS top bow / top kit at the MVPA convention from Rob Walsh. Until today the crate remained sealed. Well curiosity got the best of me and I opened it. Rob assured me I was purchasing the top bows and hardware as the condition of the canvas was unknown, understandable when dealing with 50 year old surplus. I'm happy to report the canvas appears to be in excellent condition and I should not have a problem using it. That is unless the canvas is for a 422 and not an A1, I have an A1. I haven't invested any time researching if it is a A1 top or not.
Thanks Rob!
Enjoy,
Radar
