Radio Installation

Post by eaglevets » Tue Jul 05, 2016 7:45 am

I have a radio for my M151A2. I already use a wireless sound system to simulate traffic on the radio. Now, I want to mount the radio in the rear of the vehicle for show purposes. What all do I need to complete the installation? Parts list? Where to buy? Sold as kits? Need everything from mounting plate to antenna - only have a radio - both a PRC 77 and a PRC 25. All help appreciated!!

The one thing not mentioned there is that you will need the 2060 amplifier for the manpack radios to mount them in the vehicle. The 2060 mounts into the 1029 mounting plate in the same way as a RT524 or 246 radio.

Where are you located? I have a complete working AN/GRC 160 radio set. Everything from antenna to mic in working condition that I am going to sell. It is truly a complete set, comes with everything to bolt in and use.

The AN/GRC is the PRC-77 mounted in a vehicle.
