Re: NAPA numbers
Has anyone used the FRAM ca9345 air filter? It isn't even close to the filter I just pulled out of the MULE. The hole is bigger on the FRAM, and the FRAM is a couple inches taller.

Try a National 470548, O'Reilly Auto Parts $11.49, or John Emery has the complete metal shield assembly with the plastic and felt washers and seal already installed for $25.

Re: NAPA numbers
How tall is the oil filter supposed to be? The wix 51514 seems short.

NOS oil filter element is 3-7/8" tall and 2-7/8" in diameter.

Hub Seals for M274 Thru A4 and Front Seals for A5
The M274 Seals will not Properly Fit the Hubs that have a Radius from the Seal Surface to the Hub Inner Face. The M274 Hubs had a 90 degree transition and would break at that point. The National 473455 will fit all Hubs.

I've recently discovered the same. Anyone know the proper oring size?crankshaft45 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 07, 2009 9:02 amHad a little problem with the Wix 51514 oil filter. I have used this filter several times and apparently got lucky. It turns out that the filter is correct, however the gasket that comes with it is not. It is much wider and will not seat in the groove. Just was lucky until this last time when it let go during a deer hunting trip.

Found it, I think. Have a Baldwin G-241 gasket on order and will try that.

Re: Replacement Part Numbers and Parts Sources
The spreadsheet is a good start. One suggestion, you need to put which mule/engine the substitution is for. i.e. Oil filters for the 2 cylinder won't fit the 4 cylinder, Belt is different between the 2 engines as well, etc. Just specify what mule/engine the substitution is for.

Re: Replacement Part Numbers and Parts Sources
This was pulled from my personal reference sheet I keep for my A5. I think all of the parts -- or at least all of the parts I am tracking -- are interchangeable across the 2 cylinder mules so I've added a header to the sheet to note as much.Mike_W wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 4:19 pmThe spreadsheet is a good start.
