Hey what fuel are you guys using in your mules??? Do you guys use plain old unleaded or what????
I live in Ohio and they put 10% ethyl alcohol in the gas during the winter months.
Thanks

Re: Gasoline????????
Stay away from Ethanol blends at all costs.
Run premium unleaded with zero ethanol or avgas.

Re: Gasoline????????
I also live in Ohio and share your concern regarding the Ethanol that is used in the gasoline here. Following the advice of several different people here on this site, I have taken to going to my local airport and using aircraft fuel. 100 octane, alcohol free and seems to be able to be stored for long periods without destabilizing. I can't remember for sure but it may even have lead in it. The Mule seems to run better with it and the smell of combusted fuel is pleasant too. Another possibility that I sometimes use is to bring home 5 gallons from the marina when I'm returning from Lake Erie. Again, they offer Ethanol free in several grades. Good luck and ask all the questions you like. This site is a wealth of helpful information and members.

Hey thanks guys, I was pretty sure the answers I was going to get but had to ask. I was having flashbacks of white gas while serving in the army. I have a small local grass airstrip just up the road. I'm going to stop by and see if they will sell retail to me. If not the Sunoco is closer and I can get 93 octane there.

Thanks also from me. I just bought a mule and was confused as to what kind of fuel to use. This clarified it for me.

It will also help to add a cup of Marvel Mystery Oil to your gas tank, and a 1/2 cup to your engine oil.
