Willys Overland Employee Badge
My newest acquisition. I guess I can wear it while assembling my MZ-2 and be the most authentic.

That is pretty cool, Farrell.
Does the upper area have his name and employee number... can't see it too well?

The upper area has a 6 digit employee number. I don't have it in my hands yet, but will inspect it further when I get it and see what the number is. Looks to be 602113. It looks like it opens in the back, which might reveal more information.
Chuck,
Looks fade, he might be better looking when I'm his age.

Strange, it has an apostrophe, "Willy's" It's not spelled that way in any of the company literature that I have seen.

I knew Rudy Roth, a manager at Willys, he was in charge of production line parts on Army and CJ Jeeps. Worked there from approx. 1926 to the early 70's ending up at AM General.

Re: Willys Overland Employee Badge
Yes, this was an error on the badge manufacturer, and Willys Overland either didn't immediately catch it, or didn't care. All of the oval shaped employee badges have the apostrophe. You can just about see it in the factory photo as well.
