Manufacturing plant.

So i have just learned that Ford had five manufacturing plants for jeeps. I know Willys had the big one at Toledo in Ohio, was that their only manufacturing plant ?

Hello Mark,

Yes Willys had one plant in Toledo and built all their jeeps there.
I believe they out produced Ford in number as well.

The Germans I believe had the Toledo Jeep Plant torn down in recent years, when that had taken control of Chrysler Corp.

Mark, there were 6 actually....if memory serves...

Rouge, Louisville, Dallas, Richmond, Chester and Edgewater.

Guys, many thanks for your feedback, sad to see the Willys factory gone. Roger thanks for that interesting thread, the production figures were of interest. :D
