A lot of them did not keep the windshield either. I have seen a lot of period pictures with the windshield gone and crap piled on the hood. Oh and don't even start on back seats..Right?

From all the pic's I've been seeing here [and they are great one's] I have yet to see a correct jeep according to some of the self appontied expert's here on the forum  .
I'm begining to think their's no such thing as a correct wartime jeep, except in the mind's of some member's here   .

Oh, don't know if this has been on here. Speaking of tires, I would like to get my hands on these. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQ05RbGa0zM

I see a nice jeep and a great attempt to dress it up nicely.

I THINK some jeeps did have the fourth footman in the pioneer tool rack. Certainly they had the holes and all you have to do is get one & stick it on. On a been-there-done-that, it wouldn't surprise me to see it or not. That was super not-pic for sure.

I'm not posting pics of mine....you guys will see the same "errors" that I do. And....I don't care at all when I'm fooling around town!

Oh, and here's one I think everybody missed. The jeep is in the States. I wager the vast majority of jeeps currently residing in the US have only training and no combat history. Especially those in the "wild" and not in museums. Further, what's the DOD of the jeep in question? I could have missed it, but there were a whole bunch built on and after 07 June 1944 which could not possibly have been in the Normandy invasion!
