Trying to figure out my MB's year?

Post by duvalMB » Mon Jun 26, 2017 11:44 pm

From what I've gathered it's a 42, I have a slat grill rad and pancake air filter unfortunately it did not have a gril. I also have a radio windshield.
Right now I know my
frame#mb200580
Tub#102368
Hood#20302204
Engine# is unreadable

Any help id love. I'm just trying to stay true to the restoration

Maybe a stupid question but I noticed yellow writing on my when shield what would that insignias be on the outside of the windshield?? and when I was stripping the hood I made out a few numbers in a blueish color.

AAWII page 184 shows MB 198413 as delivered on Dec 24, 1942 and then MB 200888 as delivered on Jan 7 1943, but 200915 delivered on Jan 6 '43. Then there's 201878 on Nov1, 1942. Something's screwy...
