Re: Stoplights converted to LED
Just to answer a couple of questions. I sent a couple to Jon Rogers at jeepdraw and he shows a comparison to a regular one on his website.
As far as what is needed Just the lamp unit not the whole bucket setup.
Cheers

Re: Stoplights converted to LED
If you took a stock stop/tail light and one of Paulie's in a dark room and tested each one side by side you would be amazed.
There are some others available out there it seems....we checked out one mounted in a plastic replica of the metal assembly that the lamp and red glass are mounted in against a stock stop/tail light and against one of Paulie's.....
The plastic one? Fuggeddabbouddit....no where near enough LEDs in it so it's only just a slight improvement over the stock lamp.

Re: Stoplights converted to LED
I bought a ton of regular bulbs back in 2000, and re-soldered a new one in on a couple of spares, so I'm going that way, but LED's are long lasting so who knows what I'll do in the future.

Brilliant idea, Paulie, one of the best MV safety solutions to come down the road in years. Do you have a preference in the brand Stop and Tail Lamp to send in?

Re: Stoplights converted to LED
Ben
Thanks for the kind words.
After a couple people have been rear ended at night I thought something has to be done to be seen better at night.
One died and the other was hurt real bad-still recovering from the accident.
It makes no diff what brand I do as they are all done the same.
Although I did a complete set for my 43 Ford that are "F" stamped.
Stop/service, B.O. lower lamps, and the B.O. stop light.
All are better than the factory units as far as brightness goes.
If you are looking to get some done PM me for my address.
Cheers
Paul
