John,
Nice banners! Are they wartime or postwar?

Steve,

Very few of the Navy or Airforce are dated but they are no doubt wartime, a lot of the Army ones (photos soon) have dates.
For now here are the Airforce ones.

John,
I really like the Air Corps and Air Force ones. Let me know if you ever spot any duplicates! I searched for banner frames a while back. They sure aren't cheap! Do you display yours or store them?

Could you use regular frames and get creative with matting?

Luke,
That's a thought. Have to check that out. Between buying a decent long skinny frame and having a mat cut, I might be at the cost of a banner frame...? Thanks for the suggestion. Have to check out the costs.

As a retiree, if you are close to a mil. Post, most on-post frame shops I've been to will allow folks to take a short class and then do their own work.

Closest active duty base from me is NAS Lemoore and its about 75 minutes away. I found some reasonable
ones on Amazon.com.

OK here are the first of what I would call Army ones.

Steve. I have acouple of duplicates, as once or twice I have had to buy 2 to get one I don't have, & I do store them as I haven't room to hang them all.

Re: SIS USAAFE CB Ascot Park Brisbane

We had made up a banner which most likely never saw the light of day, but just possibly, do you have any reference to such? Had a group of pencils as major part of insignia.
