M151 maintenance free battery
Postby snuffy » Mon Apr 10, 2017 4:50 am
Does anyone have a civilian battery size that you'd suggest for the 151? When I search it seems the only choices are 2hn and 51r.
Neither seem readily available or reasonably priced.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Many thanks,
Snuffy

You have this post on two threads so I will just copy my answer from the other thread.
The 51R is for most Hondas for many, many years. I have never had trouble finding them. Batteries are not cheap anymore. The days of 50.00 batteries are long gone. The average battery is going to set you back 100 bucks nowadays.

Yea, but they are real pricey, I was going to do that until I saw the price. The Honda batteries are half the price with more power. I have been using spacers for the hold down but I am just going to cut the top hold own in two places and take just a hair out and weld it back together and it will look totally stock. coat it in Plasti-Dip and no one will ever know.
