How to remove the deep water for ding kit

Post by steve1973 » Sun Mar 26, 2017 9:21 pm

My Dad has a M151A1 and we are in the process of installing a new wiring harness. In the process we are thinking about removing the deep water for ding kit or what is left of it. Has anyone done this? I need to know what vacuum lines and valves to remove. Thank you in advance for your help.

Really all you have to remove is the intake fording pipe on the side with the hose to the air cleaner, take the cap off of the fording pipe and put it on the air cleaner. Remove the exhaust extension and install the regular tail pipe. The fording valve on the engine would normally stay there. It does nothing unless you pull the cable inside. There are no vacuum lines that will interfere with anything. Or are you looking to completely eliminate any evidence that it was ever there?

Only the extra vacuum lines and valve on the manifold are all that remain of the DWF kit. nothing else is left. I just want to clean up the engine compartment some. If someone has the components for a non fording jeep I would be interested in buying what you have.
