After pulling out the power pack which was not functional, I found that the previous owner had failed to realize that bearings and gears needed oil to function. The front bearing is completely seized; dry as a bone. Got another transmission and going back together but need to know the correct color for the trans/xfr case and engine.

I'd agree with Fil on this, a Satin black, not flat or gloss. Also seen a gloss OD at times and some CARC actually. It all depends on if the engine was sent back in for rebuild program or depot overhaul on what the color would be when it returned.
