Body Serial Number

Post by Star Electric Ordnance » Wed Jan 04, 2017 6:21 am

Ken, Need your vast expertise. I am helping someone on getting their 1962 Ford put back together. Data plate says 2D0689 and the contract date is a match for that block of serial numbers. The body tag riveted to the top of the driver's side frame rail shows serial #13759. Is their a correlation from that to the data plate serial number to say they are one and the same vehicle? Their is a chance that the data plate may not belong to that vehicle. There is another title that exists that show a 1962 Ford with serial number 2D0675. They are from the same block of numbers used on the same contract. My friend has not received the title for the one he bought yet. Thanks, Kevin.
