Re: m151 engine dimensions
With or without the accessories? I had one shipped without the alt and it was 300lbs. Ill measure it today and give you the HxWxL after you advise on what will be attached.

Re: m151 engine dimensions
Jetfire,
I am sorry I took so long to get back to you. No excuses, I just plain forgot.
I just measured my extra engine. This is what I came up with:
28 inches long, flywheel to front of water pump.
23 tall bottom of oil pan to top of valve cover cap.
20.5 wide. This was a bit tricky. I measured from both ends of the motor mount brackets. Its a little less without the brackets but you will have the fuel pump and all the vacuum/fuel lines and manifolds.
If yours does not have a flywheel I would keep the length the same to account for the crank. It really is not that much less without a flywheel.
Sounds like you might be shipping an engine. If so, send me a PM and I can tell you about my positive experience shipping an M151 engine.

hi Brett!
I am restoring a m151 a2 here in the Philippines and since hercules engine is extinct in this country I am using a Isuzu c240 Engine (Japanese brand). The isuzu's dimension is quite similar to hercules engines dimensions that is why it is my first choice to be the replacement in my soon to be converted mutt

Re: m151 engine dimensions
Are you using the original transmission or the Isuzu? There is going to be a lot of adaption but it has been done many times in Pakistan and Vietnam. They usually use Toyota engines.
