It is still apparently a mix of M-38 Chassis with WWII axles. Enclosure is GI, not aftermarket, it is a Post WWII Kit developed by the Army for the MB/GPW.

Hi Adam,

Darn it why didn't you bring that hardtop and windshield kit along last Friday. I could use it on the 45 GPW instead of the M38 hardtop and windshield kit that it has now.

Glad to see you made it back home OK.

Tom, Didn't have it till Sunday noonish. Guess it will have to go on the GPW thats in the background pics there by the slat grill dash assembly.

Looks like its possibly an M38 frame--has the boxing plates in front of the grill----and it looks like it had a 3a grill but you swapped in an M38 one but still has the 3a mounts (wish I could find a 38 grill) anyway from what little I can see it appears to have an m38 tailgate--looks to lack willys script and has bracing on inside

Tailgate also has the little bar on the top for holding the gas can./


Gonna get that Hood off there tomorrow, and maybe that ugly top rad hose.M38 use a two piece hose with the metal pipe or just a 1 piece hose.

M-38 WO-801044 Upper Radiator Hose is a one piece 1-1/2 X 12-1/4".
