This is my first post on here,I have been lurking around for a few months learning alot from all you guys. This jeep belonged to my Dad when he passed away last Nov.my mom gave his jeep to me,The first pic is my Dad the day he first got the jeep, when his health started failing my uncle (a member on here) jumped in and finished the jeep for Dad,the next 4 pics are after he gave it back to my Dad finished.Last pic is me in the jeep. I have been putting the finishing touches on it and this spring I'm planning a new paint job and marking. Markings on jeep will stay the same 507th ENG my Dads unit,Mess1 he was a sarg of the mess hall, U.S.ARMY his branch , numbers were his miltary id. Only change I'm making is bottom of winshield will have a sticker " In Memory Of Dad" Thanks for looking,Bruce [imgImage][/img][urlImage][urlImage]

First off, sorry for your loss. Its never easy to lose a parent, no matter when it happens.

Second, very nice jeep, a wonderful gift, and certainly a great way to remember your Dad.

Hey, what is the serial number of your jeep? Should be on the data tag on the dash...Just curious as my jeep is also a 55...

They are a lot of fun to drive, my wife and I take ours out when the weather gets warm...And my son has allready claimed it as his own! :D I need to get a top one of these days...I envy you there!!

This is a photo of the jeep that was issued to the 507 E when my Dad was in France, This was their motto, so I'm going to copy this and add it to the jeep.

I've been trying to start jeep at least once a week all winter, today at 18 degrees instead of just letting it run in the garage for 1/2 hour I took it out in the yard (snow) to play!!! Don't want to go out on roads with the salt so just play time in the snow!!!! Hurry up spring!!!!!!Bruce[urlImage][urlImage][urlImage][urlImage

Lol!! I take it the NDT's handled the snow without a problem? I thought about taking the jeep for a little spin around the back yard last night during the Super Bowl power outage....but never got off the recliner Ha! :D
Maybe today....
