extinguisher mount
I worked for 3 days shining and restoring this Pyrene HVT extinguisher. I found these very strong magnets, two of them, that have countersunk holes for #4 screws and everything aligned perfectly, no drilling. I can place the extinguisher anywhere without having to drill holes in my fender. There is less than a quarter inch gap between mount and surface. I know this is nothing new but thought I would share anyway. John

Re: extinguisher mount
That has come up nice John, these extinguishers have a habit of turning up at car boot sales. A few years ago i saw one in lovely condition, at one of these events. I asked the guy "How much"? He said "give us £3 for it". I nearly ripped his arm off.

Thanks Mark. Would you happen to know anything about the serial numbers on these pumps. Not a big deal but it would be interesting to know.
It's the HVT type and serial number starts with a "V". I looked everywhere. Thanks, John

John, not sure about serial numbers, but you can find the year of manufacture at the top of the handle, mine reads 1943. These pumps were commonly used in England up until the mid 60s. They were then banned due to poisonous fumes from the Pyrene. Hope this helps.

Re: extinguisher mount
Ok Thanks. Yes. its's important to make sure those old extinguishers are empty as the old chemical is very bad. John
