Nice find ! The Fold three is a great link to old photos. I think aviation engineers used lots of Chevy trucks.

Thanks for posting this site. As we all tend to blame bubba on all of the dents and distortions on the metal of our projects, it is always interesting to see how the GI's beat these old beasts of burden when still in Uncle Sam's domain. I think one of the trucks even has a broken out back window. The image of the steam shovel loading concrete rubble in the bed of a G506 makes me question the origin of the dents in the bottom of my dump bed... The period photos of trucks working the ALCAN highway often look to be in rougher condition.

Also, did you all notice the baffle implemented on the CCKW dump bed so that it would not be overloaded?
