Hi Jeff,
Is it possible to post some photos of the radio box underneath the passenger seat, innards, attachment hardware and the cable attachment to the frame underneath the tub.
Many thanks!
Matt

What's the delivery date and serial number ? As stated above, good core to start out with. 8) That's the exciting part, looking for the correct items it came from the factory with.

1945 ford gpw # 269325
1950 cjv-35/u # 10676
1945 gemco 1/4 ton trailer # 2324
kf6wpk
Thanks! I located the SN. Looks to be 270139. Not sure of delivery date...

Hello Jeff,

You have a GREAT condition jeep !!!
Beautiful !
That thing looks way ahead of the majority of most that one finds !
The fire extinguisher location is where the British mounted them, that hole in dash may have been for a gauge that sometimes installed and used by the US Army Air Force, but I forget the exact info on what it was.

Look for some engine rebuild data plates for a possible clue to some history.

Good luck on your restoration !!
Where are you located ?

Raymond

Fla.
Thanks Raymond! I can't see any rebuild tags on the engine. I also noticed that it doesn't have a trailer light socket, but it has black out lights.

I'm located in MO.

Sure thing! Unfortunately, the wire under the tub has been mangled along the way.

Hi
You have a great jeep restoration well done.
On your dash I can see only 2 out 5 correct gauges
Your fuel gauge is correct and speedo is correct also
The amp, oil, temp gauge is not correct as they are post war

Cheers Peter

Thanks for the feedback Peter. That clears up part of my concern with the instruments. I need to figure out the correct switches next.

Thanks for the Photos Jeff they are great, you're very lucky to have a good original starting point be very careful to make sure you preserve and retain as much original hardware as possible, it is only original once and every little helps!
