Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
Bob,
Maybe this will help.
In the following screen shot of my surfacezero page, circled in red is the size of the file, and is close to the largest size allowed on surfacezero.
Now I left click on the image wanted (red circle).
Left clicking should open a page like below.
Left click on the 'View Larger Image' (red circle).
That should open a new window/pop-up that looks like below.
Right click on this new image and a drop box should open with several options.
Left click on: Copy Image URL.
You probably know the rest of this since you are successfully posting small images.
Then go to your 'Post A Reply' box on the G503, and left click on the Image button.
That should create a screen that looks like this:
Right click between the and selct 'Paste' from the drop box, and the image's URL should appear.
Then select 'Preview Post' and hopefully you get this:
It's good to see you back on the 'G', and I look forward to seeing pictures of your jeep.
Maybe this will help.

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
I use to think I knew something about computers, but surfacezero has me beat. I created several albums and uploaded a couple photos to each, but when I attempted to upload my restoration some went into the album I created, but some when into "member galleries", my error? How do I delete them from member galleries? I wanted them in my albums so I could share them. Then how do I delete more than one file in one of my albums without deleting the entire album. I want to upload over 1000 pics. I can delete one at a time, but want to delete groups?
Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
Hi all,
For many months, Surfacezero has not allowed me to create a new album and I cannot access any particular album without going through the "upload image" process.
I have asked for assistance in other places on the 'G', and PMed the person I was told to, but got no reply.
Can anyone help me, or even some background information about what is happening, please.
Sam.

Same here. I have wanted to add a new album in surfacezero for some time, but there is no way to add an album that I can determine. Not sure who to contact either.

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
I have just emailed RFJP directly about this problem.
"Good morning,
As long time contributor to www.G503.com forums, I, and others, are having ongoing problems managing pictures loaded onto surfacezero to be used in the forums.
I have asked several times on the forum about this, and PMed the person I was told to, did not receive a reply.
The issue is not being able to access, and particularly create, new albums. To access albums, I have to first enter the 'upload' pages.
This is becoming more and more messy, making pictures increasingly difficult to find. The problem appeared well over a year ago and has not changed, that I can tell.
Please, who do I contact and how, to fix this problem on this otherwise very usable site?
Thanks in advance.
Sam (kw573)"
Stay tuned!
Sam.

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
When you link surfacezero images from your gallery to the G503 forum part, in a technical discussion, you potentially jeopardize the G503 forum quality.
Many people who have linked sufacezero images to G503 are deleting or changing the images from their gallery, forgetting that there is a link to these images on the forum.
This leaves the G503 forum with a broken link and no image, or the green broken link image within the post.
Many threads are showing that problem.
Frustration for the one looking for solutions .
I believe that, most of the time, people are using surfacezero links on the G503 forum side because they are not able to resize their images prior to upload on G503.
This is a recurring question in the forum.
If it's the reason, the technology might help: the name is ReIMG, an automatic image resizer addon.
The webmaster should include that module in the Phpbb forum .
ReIMG resizes the forum uploaded images to a predefined sire (i.e 800X600, or max 256Kb) ON THE CLIENT SIDE thanks to a java script.
The beauty of this module is that it preserves the G503 server bandwidth and the user does not need to know about the resizing "bits, bytes and clock speed".
If the user wants , he can still paste a link to his very high resolution surfacezero images gallery.
If the link is broken, at least the forum user's will still have the low resolution images.
My 0.02¢
Yves

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
Thanks for that Yves,
10 years ago, as an inexperienced forum poster, I reached my image limit (whatever that means), and I had to go to an external host, hence Surfacezero.
Yes, broken/deleted/moved links make many an interesting thread almost useless, frustrating.
My current issue is entirely within Surfacezero. Who do I contact?
Who runs Surfacezero? How do I contact them?
Sam.

Re: www.surfacezero.com/g503 images
Hi Sam,
I've also recently reached my Dropbox file space limit with the GPW drawings and I had to drop my files and specify in my previous G503 posts that the files were no longer available.
Too bad, but at least it's not a broken link and people can still PM me with a request, which they did !
I guess Ron is the primary contact with the webmaster.
But he is very busy offering the best service to us.
He has to resolve issues (broken links) with the webmaster, due to the recent website migration.
For sure there is someone reading the posts , because I've received recently a PM from Ron regarding the board rules and the broken links.
We just have to be patient !
