I have 5 customers for my 1/6th Jeeps that have 1/1 versions, I know personally another 6 locallish, including mine that is a nice round dozen.
I would estimate there are at least 2 to 3000 in the UK alone, as the other Mark has said, there are many business thriving here in the UK looking after them :)

We should ask Ron the total customers in his files. lol. Actually if you look at the thread that asks what is your gpw number that could be a start. Speaking of, where it Tom W.

I personally know of no less than 24 g503’s in my neck of the woods....which include the ones I own (and some that I will own before too long).

What about the MB's or GPW's in the US ?
Most of them don't have a war history, they were never where it all happend...
Then why don’t you stop buying them over here and shipping them to Europe since you have so many “veteran” vehicles to pick from over there.

Michael...given the number of G503s that have been sent to Europe in the last 20 years, there isn't much to support that the ones changing hands there now were "veterans" either...

If I were in the Army during a war, would I be considered a veteran? Even if I had a desk job? Just curious. not trying to start any mess.

Exactly why I placed “veteran” in parenthesis. Some were used in Europe, the Pacific, the Far East, South America as well as in the USA during the war. My Oct ‘44 MB was a return to the mainland....but it never saw combat...it still went “overseas”. It’s no less an MB than one that did. Proving a vehicle saw “combat” is another issue....do you have photos of your actual vehicle in the front lines? Some guys are lucky enough to have remaining combat unit markings, which is obviously very cool!

They are all veteran vehicles in my mind.

As for myself...24 years....multiple combat zone deployments....multiple IDF attacks (some were very close....glad they missed me :D ).

Still, I don’t hold a candle to my WWII heros. My vehicles will be my tribute to them.
