SOLD Running PE-95-K Genset in VT
SOLD
I'm selling a PE-95-K in Colchester, VT. I don't know much about it, other than it starts right up with a jump and seems to run great off a gas can going to the fuel pump. It generates power to the outlet on the panel. The hour meter reads 1076 hours. It has had a starter added to it by the farmer that used to own it, and a few other modifications as well. SOLD Local pickup only or I can cut the trailer from it and load it with a forklift if you want to arrange someone to pick it up.

I can quite read it all. The first 2 numbers are 1 and 0, I believe the 3rd number is a 3. In front of the numbers is the C but I can't read what's before that.

M =Military
C = model as in ma or mb or mc.
Mc is for the m38 jeep engine or usually in k gensets. Stuff usually asociated with Korean war.
RMC R I think is rebuilt or maybe replacement

I got a chance today to clean up the number today. What I can read is RMC1034. I can't tell what is after that.

"R"MC is a factory new replacement, provided as spare parts under the same government contract(s) that purchased the M38s.
FWIW, the serial numbers for MC and RMC engines are sequential, not independent. They built MC's to a point, then started adding the R to fulfill that portion of the contract (ie: MC10523, MC10524, RMC10525, etc.) I've read that it was not uncommon for RMC engines to be diverted to genset manufacturers for use in building gensets, though I'm not sure how you would tell if an RMC engine in a genset was factory or motorpool...
