Hesse Hornet
OK, I'll give this a try. I have a flathead jeep industrial engine converted to an air compressor. It runs on cyl's 1 and 4, and compresses on 2 and 3. DO very many people know about these? I have a partial manual, if anyone interested, but missing a few pages. I can download if anyone interested. If you have a manual, i would like copies of my missing pages Thanks
Still crazy after all these years.

Old Dodge Guy,
I'd like any info you have. I have an industrial engine from the 50's. Only picked it up because it runs and was only $100. I don't know what I'll do with it, but having paperwork will come in handy.
Thanks in advance.

ODG, yes I would like any info you have. A friend in PA has one he got from his dad, but he won't part with it; I have not found much data on these. Anything to do with stationery power is fascinating to me; I hope to have the genny and a compressor to display at shows. So far I have the genny which is in running condition with all original paint which PREM would like a bunch! I have been trying to find a compressor so I have both air and electric units. For now just the books would be great; thanks for the help.

Re: Hesse Hornet
Well to be honest I picked it up for the engine for my cj2a. But If some one makes me an offer high enough to found my rebuild to my other engine I'll sell it. It is located in Millersville PA. Anyone who is interested is more then welcome to come take a look at it. I have not got it running yet but everything is there. and turns over by hand.

Re: Hesse Hornet
They are neat units and I've been comtemplating selling mine as well. Not sure on the value of these but surely a nice restored original should top $1500 or perhaps more. A good solid runner with all of the plates and generally not mangled too bad I would think should bring around 7-900$. These are difficult to find unmolested much less still operational.

Re: Hesse Hornet
I also have a Hesse Hornet compressor. I would like the specs of it too. Also I'm looking at selling it. It runs great. What's it worth?
