value of some M38 accesories

Post by Roland the Thompsongunner » Sun Apr 08, 2018 7:52 am

Hello,
A friend bought an M38 a while back and he has some extras to sell and I have no idea of value. One is the fording snorkel for the engine and its still in the crate. The other is an artic heater that goes in front of the windshield frame. Just looking for a ballpark idea to help him out. Thanks, Dan

It depends on if they are complete.
The SW M-38 Gas Heater Kit is impressive but one thing to remember is that they may not work due to age and tinkering by inexperienced installers renders them useless due to lack of replacement parts. These were obsolete 50 years ago. $200.00 to 500 depending on how bad you want it.
Snorkle kit, now a rare accessory, you don't get much for your money. $200.00 to $500.00. The Inlet hose usually is dried and brittle. The correct type replacement is expensive.

The kits are rare however you can buy all of the NOS parts for around $150 currently on ebay.
