Capacitor

Post by JMZ421 » Tue May 23, 2017 5:38 am

I switched out the capacitor in my distributor, the one on the side where the power lead goes. The one I took out was much larger than the one on my NOS distributor spare I have. The new one mounted OK and the M38 fired right up. The fellow I purchased from had a radio hooked up, still installed. Will it make a difference in the size and shape of that capacitor? Thanks, John

Condensers/capacitors are rated in μF [microfarads] & if the same there will be no difference

Understand how system parts interact with one another. GOOD parts can then be established & the NOT GOOD problem/s part/s isolated for repair or replacement.

This is what was taken out of my distibutor. Is this for radio's? Much bigger and not one piece like what was replaced. John
