M38 Door Straps
Did any M38 have the drivers and passenger door opening safety strap like WW2 jeeps, And 151s had them; i always rode with my leg against that strap and my right foot on the body sill.

Ok, I will submit an MWO request to TACOM-LCMC and get authorization to install them on my M38. I like them.

Re: M38 Door Straps
If memory serves, the lower weld nuts on the M38 front bow stowage brackets are the same thread dia and count as the MB/GPW bracket. This makes it all that simpler to install doorway straps by using the MB/GPW Swivels and Shouldered Bolts, which use the lower nut on the forward bracket as the point of attachment.

Re: M38 Door Straps
Yes They did but only a few of the prototypes ,if you have Ryan Miller's book, you can see M38 prototype MC10001 had them and the fifth prototype shows the doorway eye bolts , but they never went into the final production model . Its to bad I wish they did have them its gives them that military look.

Re: M38 Door Straps
Cool; I am going to do it even though I do not have 10001 M38. All military vehicles should have them, and most did. I think the reason M38s didn't is that they had doors developed for them, whereas MBs, (and open cab Dodges) didn't.
