M38/M38A-1 fuel pumps

Post by bazookajoe » Mon Apr 17, 2017 6:50 am

I'm cleaning out some old inventory and found 12 fuel pump/ vacuum pumps and was wondering how to determine if they were for an m38 or 38a1. Is it the number on the flange and or the number on the accuating arm that rides on the cam that determines application. I also have some spacers too.

I always thought, maybe wrongly, that the M38A1s had primer arms and M38s don't.

They all interchange, there are at least 4 part numbers, some don't have primer, but end up with them during pump change.

I'm in need of a M38 fuel/vacuum pump and spacer if you are looking to sell one.
