I was thinking the same thing but I have just not had the time to unjam the garage door and go out to look.

Let me know what type of lines they are supposed to be, so I'm wondering if the part numbers are for only straight line that need to be fabricated or are they pre-shaped lines. Does anybody have a picture of the correct configuration and routing?

I have 8 jeeps and 10 take out engines to look at. I will see if I can go to my shop later today and see what the deal on these lines is for you, and confirm what material they are made from.

I can assure you on the originals at the time of manufacture, these lines were preformed.

I googled these two pics and they appear to be steel. I will confirm later after I actually go look at my stuff as mentioned earlier.

After examining these pics I put up, you can see the aftermarket approach to the lines on the one pic, behind the radiator rubber isolation piece, where he has spliced these lines with short rubber hoses. Incorrect, Incorrect Incorrect. Stick with the other pic with the Austin Healey red caps LOL

Owners have never taken liberties with authenticity on these Mutts. hahahahahahaha

The one with the red caps is a Pakistani mutt with a carb off of who knows what. None of those picture show the correct routing for an A2 since all of them seem to have A1 fuel line source routed to A2 pump through some questionable designs.

Ed, Don't you have any pic's of Bob Amons mutt somewhere? I can't find mine. I was under the hood of that one enough you would think I would have pictures all over! His was absolutely perfect for an example of line routing.

I AGREE!!! I had a lot of fun with Bob over that red radiator cap of his, and he was a perfectionist and a great guy in the hobby. I probably ribbed him too hard over the painted cap. I pretty much lost touch with him over the years after the East Coast rally we all attended up at Cal Ripken years ago. Im trying to sort of get out of it myself but I have so much stuff, and a lot invested in it, I have not really figured out a way to gracefully divest myself of it all. At 74, I aint near what I used to be. LOL

I'm looking for the correct placement of an A1, those pics are different and various mods.
