Hey Guys,
I have a great time on your forum and man I have I learned allot and am having fun. MOST of you guys know me as the guy who sold his FAV, but with that in mind I have seen the interest in such a vehicle and the rarity of such an animal. While having that on the boards i had some of you guys even say that they were going to retro out one of their M151's to make it look like the unicorn of the M151 family the FAV, and yes I have learned that you guys have more than one even if your wife does not know .
My question is if someone like myself was to make available a retro fit kit for the M151a2 such as the grill, drivers roll bar and the rear gun mount to retro out a M151A2 to look as an FAV would this be acceptable to you guys and would there be a market for these retro kits. Keep in mind I would not got to the extent as our Government went to construct these FAV fits. I would use today’s available materials, and today tech to build these kits so they would be easy to install and be MUCH LIGHTER than their original brothers. I have the ability to have them painted and or Powder coated the buyer’s choice.
I am pretty much thinking out loud and I wanted and cherish you guys opinion. Also if there are any needs for armorment mounts out there and there is a pattern to go off of we might even be able to fabricate those as well.
JUST A THOUGHT looking for a home?
Scott
