Thanks for the reply. I have no idea. Are you guessing or do you know for a fact?
They came in an old box that says Anderson. The latching mechanism not shown in the picture says Anco Rain Master and Anderson.
The paint and fitment of the parts are all matching to the latching mechanism.

Hi JIMN,
These are indeed Anderson. After posting a question about them here on the GEE I unwrapped them and installed them. We talked about them here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=256465
Pics can be seen here before the unwrapping: https://picasaweb.google.com/oneils82/Jeep
A single one of these assemblies NOS in the box (one side) recently sold on ebay for $150 and my boxes were cleaner than his. Makes me regret installing them.
I later saw a vintage pic of them on a WWII USMC radio jeep, but I'm not saying it was specific to them.
Cheers, Doug

Re: wiper
I took a second look, first impression was that they were the Tricos used on most 50's-60's M-Series, send look realized that the Tricos used on M-Series are adjustable length, these are non adjustable and are vehicle specific due to being fixed length. They appear similar to those installed on WWII Tactical Closed Cab Trucks with smaller windshield such as WC's. CCKW and Chev4X4 Closed Cabs use the "grasshopper" type Arms. What is the length from center of hole to the center of slot in the hook. Any of you who are interested and have WWII Dodge WC Parts manuals may want to check the Parts list to see if there is reference to Anderson. I will check mine later ans also the SNL's for MB/GPW listing Vacuum Wipers to see if a manufacturer is referred to. I installed NOS Vacuum Wiper Kit on my MB and will check the dimensions of the arms on my OEM Wiper Arms as they are "Fixed" length similar to photos.
I remember now that swapped a pair of 663368 CJ-2 Arms which are 7" .fixed length.
MB Vacuum Kits use ORD 500812 8-1/4" Blade, and a ( WO-12865) Trico ORD 500810 adjustable 8"-11-1/2" Arm. No Anco..

Here's the image of the blade from the e-pay listing:
Anco Heavy truck replacement blades # 51-18 are 20" long and have the same blade style, but no clip. You might be able to carefully drill out the rivet that holds the clip to the old blade, then cut the HD blade to length, drill a hole in the correct location and re-rivet or use a small screw to attach the old clip. One replacement blade should do two jeep blades.

Re: wiper
Those Arms do fit the Trico Blades and am positive that Anderson made a GI replacement blade with the hooks that fit that blade. I'll check my spares to see if I have any GI Andersons for MB/GPW Jeep that fit the above Arms.

Re: wiper
So let me get this straight.
Ben, are you saying that a trico blade will fit the arms I pictured?
Marty, are you saying there are some anco truck blades available that the connector will fit, but the blades are too long?

Re: wiper
The Arms in the photo have the standard hook set up that MB/GPW WWII Army trucks used and same as Open Cab CCKW, WC, etc M-38,M-35, M-211, etc. Trico appears to be OEM on these trucks. I have GI issue Blades of the popular lengths as spares for my trucks and they vary from 7" to 10". Am always on the look out as they are not easy to come by.
Attempting to shorten longer blades is not always an exact science without a band saw.

Re: wiper
Truck parts stores will have the 51-18 Anco heavy duty blades, nice and fresh, too! (I use these on an older truck at work) The blade size and shape matched the ones on my GPW, but it does not have the proper connector, you will have to reuse your old one. I have the original style arms on my GPW.
You can make two jeep blades from the one big one quite easily. The metal back is steel, so a hack saw works, de-bur the end with a file or Dremel, paint it olive drab and you're good to go! The only critical part would be centering the hole for the new rivet and making sure it is the proper size so it's not too loose.

Re: wiper
Antique Auto suppliers can be a source of the correct look Trico brand Wiper blades with the hooks in assorted lengths. The rubber stays quite supple. Have a set on the CCKW, work perfect. The large Army Truck dealers have GI Trico blades, but are not into requests for correct blade for a 3-21-44 "Richmond" GPW, if you get what I mean.. Best to ask for type hook and lengths that they may have on hand.

Re: wiper
I measured my Anderson blades. They are exactly 9 inches in length.
Each arm assembly includes a separate mechanism to latch them in the "up" position and there is a connection bar for tandem operation.
Cheers, Doug

Re: wiper
I have the impression we are discussing Vacuum Wipers, correct?
I happened to have a pair of TRICO ARMY Issue WWII blades for the Vacuum MB/GPW. They are 8-1/4" and have the std. hook. These are FSN 8B-1065. It takes a bit of research to upgrade the 8-B-1065 to the later WWII 5 Digit ORD Part No. Perhaps someone can jpoin up and help research this.

no, the Anco hand operated wipers, very rare but excellent product. The Anco G503 numbered blades are 9"Ben Dover wrote:I have the impression we are discussing Vacuum Wipers, correct?
